First draft website template

I hate greatly dislike it.

 

Chose the parchment text and background and logo and whatnot to go with the brand. My color scheme is pretty much shaping up to be browns, pinks and purples. 

To much space on the right side of the logo, was thinking about incorporating a tree that stems over into the logo, similar to the book cover. A tree would also make a good place to shove sidebar navigation (like social networking junk) or anything else I need to put there. The draw back to the tree is that it takes up real estate for whatever if going on the page.

I had to use the tan color box inside because the parchment background alone makes the text unreadable, but I don't like the idea of the tan color box taking up all the parchment background. I would like to show the background through in some spots.

I don't know what to show on the homepage, best work right, some people put their demo reel up on the homepage, but I have a spot in the navigation for that so...

If I include text, I have no idea what to say...



Edit One: Added the tree to see what it would look like, tried a more rose and purple color combination. Centered the dragon logo so I don't have so much of a big gaping hole on the side.
